Some strains in Visbiome are cultured with a fermentation media that contains milk. The fermentation media is separated from the probiotics during processing, but trace amounts could be present in the final product. People with dairy allergy should not take Visbiome. Lactose is undetectable in Visbiome using the best available methods, not present in amounts

Visbiome is a medical food and should be used under medical supervision. You could experience mild bloating during the first few days after starting Visbiome as your intestinal microflora changes. If this occurs, you may need to reduce your daily consumption to allow adjustment.

      • Clean Label Project Certified

Clean Label Project screened Visbiome for over 200 impurities, including heavy metals, pesticides, plasticizers, and glyphosate. Important Information for You and Your Patients.

While there are no known adverse drug interactions associated with the consumption of Visbiome, some strains of bacteria may be inactivated by certain antibiotics. Advise your patients not to consume Visbiome within 4 hours before or after taking antibiotics.

The most reported side effect associated with Visbiome is mild abdominal bloating, typically within the first few days of taking the probiotic. The bloating – which is generally a physiological adaptation of the microflora – typically diminishes within 3-4 days. If bloating persists, reduce your patient’s intake for a few days.

Visbiome and Visbiome Extra Strength should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used in premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. Additionally, consult with patients who are pregnant or lactating before they consider using Visbiome or any other medical food products.

        Keep Visbiome Effective for Longer.

Visbiome should be refrigerated (36-46°F, 2-8°C). If stored under refrigeration, the product is guaranteed through “Best if used by” date.

Visbiome can be stored at room temperature for up to one week without adversely affecting potency.

        Visbiome Dietary Considerations.

Visbiome is lactose-free. Lactose was not detectable in amounts greater than 50 parts per million (PPM). When using the most sensitive analytical method available, no lactose was found in Visbiome. Contains milk (trace amounts, less than 0.1g per 100g) and dehydrated skim milk or milk protein (casein and beta-lacto globulin of less than 2mg/Kg).
